He was predeceased by: his parents, Antonio Montoya and Agapita Montoya (Casados); his wife Adelina Montoya (Gonzales); and his siblings, Tony Montoya, Jr., Lawrence Montoya, Charley Montoya, Flora Sanchez, Rachel and Helen.
He is survived by: his children, Ramona Armendariz (Juan) of Clayton, Ursula Brown (David) of Hobbs, Debbie Montoya (Michael) of Albuquerque, Jerrah Montoya of Clayton, Alex Montoya (Claudia) of Carlsbad, Michael Montoya of Clayton, Charles Montoya of Clayton and Jeremy Montoya (Pauline) of Clayton; and his siblings, Dick Montoya (Lugarita) of Clayton, Louis Montoya of Clayton, Leo Montoya (Mary) of Clayton and Margaret Vigil (Abdon) of Dumas. He is also survived by 14 Grandchildren, 29 Great-Grandchildren, 5 Great-Great-Grandchildren.
