She was predeceased by: her parents, George Clifford Poindexter and Goldie Elizabeth Poindexter (Woodring); and her brothers, Clifford Edward Poindexter, Gary Lee Poindexter and Danny Lynn Poindexter.

She is survived by: her husband David Hayes of Clayton; her children, Julie Hayes of Prescott, Shelly Kerr (Clint) of Springtown and Carson Hayes of Clayton; and her grandchildren, Jesse Lee Estupinan of Shrevport, James Paul Estupinan of Shrevport, Dane Thomas Kerr (Stesha) of Walters, Oklahoma. and Kelsey Elizabeth Kerr of Walters, Oklahoma..
