He was predeceased by: his parents, Felix Monroe and Myrtle Kathryn Bobbitt (Carpenter); his wife Virginia Bobbitt (Callaway); and his brother Johnny Freeman. He is survived by: his children, Mark D. Bobbitt, Robyn A. Salmi and Jeni F. Cobb (Steve); his grandchildren, Brian B. Bobbitt, Steven L. Bobbitt (Olga), Timothy M. Bobbitt, Taz D. Salmi (Kaylee) and Lexi T. Salmi; and his sister Lynda Freeman.
In Lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations to Dementia Alliance International, in Bud's honor.
