He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Pete, Nellie Marquez, Salomon and Anita Aragon; his parents, Olivia Grijalva and Lorenzo Aragon; his brother Frankie Aragon; his aunts and uncles, Bernie Montoya, Helen Valencia, Cipriano Marquez (Cippie) and Freddie Montoya; his nephew John Joseph Lovato (J. J.); his cousins, Eddie Aragon, David Aragon, Boy Marquez and Monique Montoya; and his brother-in-law Joseph Lovato.

He is survived by: his close friend Reyes Rivas; his daughters, Jennifer Aragon of Los Alamos and Esther Lovato of El Duende; his siblings, Andrew Aragon (Dora) of Española, Juanita Aragon (Javier) of El Llano, Anita Aragon (Luis) of Medenales, Philip Aragon (Felipe) of Hernandez, Elizabeth Aragon (Roberto) of Rio Chama, Nellie Lovato (Anthony) of Hernandez and Salomon Aragon of El Llano; his aunts and uncles, Gilbert Sr., Mike, Roman Aragon (Sylvia) of Española, Antonio Aragon (Billy) of Española, Patsy Marquez of Pajarito and Mary Martinez (Ernesto) of Los Luceros; and his niece Esperanza Lovato of Rio Chama. He is also survived by numerous grandkids, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
