He was predeceased by: his brother Anthony Samora; his parents, Antonio Samora Jr. and Virginia Samora; and his sister Theresa Luna. He is survived by: his wife Leslie Samora; his children, Ashlie Samora of Albuquerque, Jesse Samora (Faithe Samora) of Carrizozo and Carlos Samora of Carrizozo; and his siblings, Benita Epperson (Harold Epperson) of Alamogordo, Patricia O'Brien of Albuquerque and Santiago Samora (Laurie Samora) of Alamogordo. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
