It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leo Mirabal Samora (Carrizozo, New Mexico), who passed away on January 20, 2024, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Antonio and Theresa; his siblings, Manuel, Sophia Portillo and Della Vega; his children, Esther Hein and Joseph Salazar (Kiki); and his grandson Dario Samora.
He is survived by: his sister Delia Beltran; his children, Beatrice May (Milton), Darlene Salazar and Leo Jr. (Boy); his son-in-law Frank Hein; and his grandchildren, Jason Hein, Justin Hein, Sean Hein, Joseph Salazar, Mathew Salazar, Suzanne Salazar, Dana M. Wells, Andrew N. May, Daniel Samora, Amada Gonzalez, Andrew Francis, Leo Cruz Samora, James Weidner and Jerald Weidner.
