He was predeceased by: his parents, Tomas V. Quintela and Anita Quintela (Fierro). He is survived by: his wife Lorie Quintela of Carlsbad; his son Michael; his wife Mila Quintela of Las Cruces; his grandson Tristan Jet Quintela of Carlsbad; and his siblings, Tootie Quintela of Arizona, Henry Quintela, Mando Quintela, Helen Salmon of Carlsbad, Linda Quintela of Hobbs, Dora Jimenez of Carlsbad, Delia Briones of Carlsbad and Cindy Romero of Carlsbad. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
