He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucia "Luz" Calanche and Francisco Medina; his siblings, Julia Melendrez, Connie Mendez and Juan Medina; and his former wives, Brenda Medina and Valerie Michelle Medina.
He is survived by: his brother Andy Calanche (Donna); his former wife Belia Morales; his children, Clipper Medina (Gloria) of Odessa, TX, Justin Medina of Carlsbad, NM, Stormy Medina (Jeff Acosta), Jordan Medina, Kiely Medina and Jexi Medina of Carlsbad, NM.; his grandchildren, Jayvonn Tomas Medina, Markus Aaron Medina, Christopher Thomas Medina, Joshua Thomas Medina, Sabrina Tyler (Chase Tyler), Alexis Acosta, Kimberly Acosta, Jaimee Aguilar and Jacob Gonzalez; and his great grandchildren, Isabella Sophia Medina, Jadamia Zabala and Edward Aguilar Jr.. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel (1001 N Canal St, Carlsbad, NM 88220). A vigil service will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the San Jose Catholic Church (1002 Debaca St, Carlsbad, NM 88220).
