She was predeceased by: her parents, Inocente A. Leyva and Ester R. Leyva (Loya); her husband Rudolfo U. Navarrette; her siblings, Tavita "Tommie" Cerda, Angelita "Chita" Gonzales, Porky Leyva, Pete Leyva and Delbert Leyva; and her close friend Sandy Rodriguez.
She is survived by: her aunt Yaya; her daughter Mary Ester "Tooter" Navarrette; her grandsons, Christopher Escobedo (Angela) of Phoenix, AZ, Joshua Escobedo (Desirre) of Albuquerque, NM and Anthony Escobedo; her children, Chris and Josh; her great grandchildren, Aero Slade Escobedo, Aeon Silver Escobedo of Phoenix, AZ and Penelope Dean Escobedo of Albuquerque, NM.; her sisters-in-law, Virginia Leyva of Carlsbad, NM and Helen Leyva of Albuquerque, NM; her nieces, Shirley Myers and Olga Farnam; and also Edwina Rico.
