Villegas of Carlsbad, New Mexico, born in Loving, New Mexico, who passed away on February 13, 2024, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Federico L. Villegas and Petra Villegas (Aleman); his grandson Malachi Villegas; and his siblings, Gualberto Chacon, Manuel Villegas and Josefa Villegas.
He is survived by: his nephews, Orlando Villegas Sr. and Frank V. Chacon; his wife Jolanda Villegas (Herrera) of Carlsbad, NM; his children, Samuel H. Villegas, Jr. of Carlsbad, NM, Steve A. H. Villegas of Carlsbad, NM, Valerie Sandate (Lionel) of Carlsbad, NM and Vianca Villegas (Jeremy Fuentes) of Carlsbad, NM; and his siblings, Francisco Chacon (Nicolasa) of Loving, NM, Tibursio Villegas (Mary) of Carlsbad, NM and Pablo Villegas (Elvira) of Carlsbad, NM. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren.
