He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert T. "Bud" and Lois Gaston (Brunt) of Carlsbad; and his siblings, Norma Sherrell, Bobby Gaston and Billy Wayne Gaston.
He is survived by: his children, Tina Swindell (Don), Austin Dulaney (Ella), Jennifer Pakenham (Kevin), Taylor, Maddie, Kailee, Angi Menell (Bryan), Ethan, Hailey, Rusty Gaston, Jr. (Erin), Rylan, Noah, Maya and Tristan. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation to Noah's Ark Animal Shelter as he loved animals and being a veterinarian was a dream of his.
