With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Ruben S. Carrasco of Carlsbad, New Mexico, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruben E. Carrasco and Maria of Jesus Salazar; and his brother Fabian S. Carrasco. He is survived by: his children, Derek Carrasco, Erik Carrasco, Jordane Carrasco, Vanessa Olivas, Bianca Olivas, Robert Olivas Jr., Stephanie Olivas and Anthony Olivas; and his siblings, Viola McCormick, Patricia Rascon and Philip Carrasco. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren;1 great-grandson.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Mesilla Valley Hospice (299 Montana Ave, Las Cruces, NM 88005). A vigil service will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel (1001 N Canal St, Carlsbad, NM 88220). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the San Jose Catholic Church (1002 Debaca St, Carlsbad, NM 88220).
