It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Clarence Mahaffey of Carlsbad, New Mexico, who passed away on December 10, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Talmadge Mahaffey and Ella Brooke Mahaffey (Long); his children, Bobby Mahaffey and Paula Mulloy; his siblings, Dewey Talmadge Mahaffey, James Edwin Mahaffey, John Dent Mahaffey, Ella Sue Mahaffey and Alice Pearl Stanco; his brother-in-law Joe Stanco; and his great grandchild Jovan J. Granger.

He is survived by: his girlfriend Emma Rodriguez; his daughter Nancy Whittemore (Garry); his sisters, Ethel Lee Stoneman, Nancy Elenore Ryzenman (Shaul) and Judith Mahaffey; his niece Joella Wilson (Mark); his nephew Andrew Stanco (Donna); his grandchildren, Lacy Craig (Adam), Stacy Stegall Jr., Dustyn Young of Carlsbad, NM, Abbey Evans of Midland, TX, Brooke Claybrook (Zach) of Midland, TX, Landry Mulloy of Midland, TX, Jacob Vasquez, Cynthia Vasquez, Marc Rodriguez, Anthony Granger and Doreen Granger; and his great grandchildren, Sierra Gonzales of Carlsbad, NM, Cole of Las Vegas, NM, Cade of Las Vegas, NM, Eli of Las Vegas, NM, Nora of Las Vegas, NM, Annie Craig of Las Vegas, NM, Cooper, Cash Evans of Midland, TX and Crue Claybrook of Midland, TX..
