He is survived by: his wife Dorinda Contreras of Carlsbad; his sons, Moses of Carlsbad, Joseph of Carlsbad, Max Jr. and Jeremy; his grandchildren, Reno (Savana), Ethan (Melanie) and Jaydin Contreras; his great grandchildren, Jyllyanna and Messiah Contreras; and his adoptive son Barry Dorado.
