He was predeceased by: his grandfather Howard Paul; his mother Fern L. Bittner (Paul); and his grandson Nathan Beyers. He is survived by: his wife Cleta Bittner (McClintock) of Carlsbad, NM; and his sons, Brian (Natalie) of Weir, TX and Shawn (Leah) of Valdosta, GA. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
