Though Mike may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Mike touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his father Jeffrey Black. He is survived by: his significant other Tracy Austin; his son Mike J. A. Black; his stepchildren, Ashley Hatch, Christopher Hatch (Kenna) and Tessa Calloway (Kayden); his grandson Jayce Hatch; his mother Martha Stanton (Les); and his siblings, Kevin Hane and Kristina Hane (Don). He is also survived by two nephews, niece, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 26th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Denton-Wood Funeral Home (1001 N Canal St, Carlsbad, NM 88220).
