She was predeceased by: her parents, Pete Yourasovich and Mary Miksic Yourasovich; her stepfather John Vukovich; her siblings, Pete Yourasovich and Kay DeSomer; and her daughter-in-law Brenda Purcell.
She is survived by: her children, Sherri Lynn (Don Alverson) of Northport, Alabama and Craig Floyd Purcell of Lubbock, Texas; her grandchildren, James Ryan Alverson (Kathy) of Ft. Thomas, Kentucky and Ashley Alverson Green (Chad Green) of Seaford, Virginia; her great grandchildren, Jillian Edens Alverson, Tucker Lee Alverson and Elliot Ryan Alverson; her sister-in-law Dorothy Varner of Abilene, Texas; her cousins, Trish, Rick Towery of Midland, Texas and Zolene Knott of Carlsbad; and also, Shanna, Mitchell and Brandon Huslig.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Denton-Wood Funeral Home (1001 N Canal St, Carlsbad, NM 88220). A graveside service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Carlsbad Cemetery (1506 Boyd Dr, Carlsbad, NM 88220).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the First Baptist Church of Carlsbad, 112 North Alameda Street, Carlsbad, NM. 88220; or to Hospice of West Alabama, 3851 Loop Road, Tuscaloosa, AL. 35404.
