With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Maria Santana Sotelo of Carlsbad, New Mexico, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 11, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Quintin Santana and Victoria Luna; her husband Mario Sotelo; and her siblings, Felix, Juan, Nano, Kino Santana, Ben Fino, Maryita Santana, Lucia Onsurez and Tana Hernandez.

She is survived by: her son Miguel Ayala; her granddaughters, Daisha, Korina, Jadis and Jenae Ayala; and her sisters, Marcella Najera, Carolina Lucero and Cruz Muckey. She is also survived by two great granddaughters, several nephews & nieces.
