He was predeceased by: his parents, Loretta Babbitt (Sensenbrenner) and James Sylvester Babbitt; and his siblings, Edward, Gerald, Donald and Gloria (Frances Helen).

He is survived by: his children, Jenifer Louise, Theresa Jean, Mary Frances, Kathleen Ann, Stephen Fred and Rachel Marie; his wife Debby (O'Leary); his grandchildren, Katie-Jo, David, Adrienne, Jocelyn, Sarah, Josie, Cambria, James, John, Andrew, Peter and Natalie; his great grandchildren, Andrew, John and Jenifer; his stepchildren, Michele Cannady, Diana Abeny, James Hernandez and Valerie Garcia; his stepgrandchildren, Kristen Cannady, Autumn Cannady, Katelyn Cannady, Jason Cannady, Amber Cannady, Cymber Abney, Silas Abney, Kenoa Abney, Calais Abney, Ilyana Garcia, Issac Martinez and Ivan Gallindo; and his stepson Douglas Morgan.
