He was predeceased by: his parents, James H. Martin and Rita Ortega Martin; and his siblings, James O. Martin and Patty Martin. He is survived by: his son Shawn Martin; his grandson Kane Anthony Martin; and his siblings, Jeffery Martin, Viola Martin and Sylvia Duran (Jerry).
Visitation was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the West Funeral Home (401 N Guadalupe St, Carlsbad, NM 88220). A rosary was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the San Jose Catholic Church (1002 Debaca St, Carlsbad, NM 88220). A burial was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Carlsbad Cemetery (1506 Boyd Dr, Carlsbad, NM 88220).
