It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Laverne Thomas (Carlsbad, New Mexico), who passed away on September 3, 2019, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Thomas and Beatrice Johnson; her daughter Karin Parham; and her siblings, Harvey Thomas, Donald Young and Josephine Wilson.
She is survived by: her son Kevin Parham of Newark, CA; her cousins, Emerson Johnson of Oakdale, CA and Bea Lee of Vacaville, CA; and her grandchildren, Victoria Lara (Jimmy) of Carlsbad, Kevin Parham, Jr. (Briana) of Carlsbad, Gabrielle Parham of Carlsbad, Kayla Parham of Carlsbad, Jazmin Parham of Hobbs, NM, Robert Vargas of Hobbs, NM, David Garcia of Albuquerque, NM, Randy Garcia (Shannique Stapleton) of Watauga, TX, Raymond Parham (Alicia) of San Manuel, AZ and Jonathon Parham (Amber Diaz) of San Jose, CA. She is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren.
