He was predeceased by: his parent Maria Teresa Duran; his grandparents, Jose and Cecelia Duran; his brother Danny Duran; his nephew Danny Lee Duran; and his aunts and uncles, Manuel Duran, Joe Doporto, Delia and Lorenza Duran.

He is survived by: his wife Carmen Bejarano Duran; his sons, Josiah, David and Elijah Duran of Carlsbad, NM.; and his siblings, Tommy of Carlsbad, Edward Duran of Carlsbad, Pearl Duran and Patsy Aguirre of Midland Texas. He is also survived by many Uncles, Aunts, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins.
