She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Forest Uldric and Jewel Leona Kirkes (Estes); her son Kirk Laffaett; her brothers, Trent Maynard Kirkes (Sherlene) of Comanche, Texas and Forrest Glenn Kirkes (Jerry) of Belle Vista, Arkansas; her husband Alva Dean Brookover of Westminster; her children, Billy Dean Brookover (LuAnne), Matthew Brice Brookover of Denver and Christy Renee Brookover Mattoon (Daniel) of Morgan, Utah; her grandchildren, Jeffrey Brookover, Sherice Brookover Lepatra (Chris), Denise Mattoon Greene (Richard), Brandon Mattoon, Tiffany Brookover and Sean Michael Brookover (Tracey Leigh); her great grandchildren, Ian Lepatra, RJ Greene and Sophia Mattoon; and her friends, Jenny Reams, Grady, Betty Reese, Don and Dee Campbell. She was also cherished by her kids and grandkids.
