He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles O'Connor and Winnie O'Connor (Essary); and his brothers, Howard Monk, Lester Dean Monk, Tommy Dean Monk and Jim Ed Paulk.
He is survived by: his siblings, Francene Lowery of Falon, NV, Charles (Mildred Monk), Cleta Rudolph of Athens, GA, Janie Patrick (Theresa O'Connor) of Oklahoma City, OK, Michael (Linda O'Connor) and Marla Riley (Charles Murphy); and his children, Shayla Schroder (Glenn Haynie) of Reedville, VA, Pam Roberson of Midland, TX, Janet Mayes, AJ of Carlsbad, NM, Mark Cagwin and Daniel O'Connor of Carlsbad, NM. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and many precious nieces and nephews.
