She was predeceased by: her parents, James A. McKay and Evelyn E. Hathaway; her siblings, Jean Burritt and Robert McKay; and her husbands, Vincent Rowan and Calvin Strickland.
She is survived by: her children, Leigh Nelson (Lisa Parke), Linda Nelson and Steven Nelson (Julia Borden); her granddaughters, Alindy Nordlum (Christopher), Erin Lamartino and Shawna; and her great grandchildren, Avery and Sienna Nordlum.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel (1001 N Canal St, Carlsbad, NM 88220). A memorial service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Denton-Wood Funeral Home (1001 N Canal St, Carlsbad, NM 88220).
