Harlen Smith Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Harlen Smith (Carlsbad, New Mexico), who passed away on February 20, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Smith and Alline Smith; and his wife Elizabeth Forehand (Betsy). He is survived by: his children, Renee Comen (Steve) and Roy Smith (Tina); his sister Phyllis Travelstead; and his grandchildren, Masie Martin (Andrew), Aaron Comen, Matt Zimmerman, Jacqueline Hassey (Armando) and Everett Butler. He is also survived by 4 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church (309 W Shaw St, Carlsbad, NM 88220).
