He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Salvador, Cuca Duarte, Julian and Lucy Ramirez; and his nephew Michael Martinez.
He is survived by: his parents, Eliser G. Duarte and Rose Mary Duarte; his close friend Julia Venegas of Carlsbad, NM; his pet Raven; his children, Jerzy Duarte of Carlsbad, NM, Jevan Calderon of Denver, CO, Jaris Calderon of Carlsbad, NM, Jorri Duarte of Carlsbad, NM and Silvester Rueda, IV; his grandson Silvester Rueda; the mother of his children Jeanette Elizondo of Carlsbad, NM; his siblings, Clarissa Duarte (John Duran) of Carlsbad, NM, Jeff Duarte (Rebecca Gomez) of Hobbs, NM, Angela Escareno, Michael Hernandez and Jimmy John Rodriguez; his nieces and nephews, Eddie Duarte, Damian Lopez, Jr., Taylor Coy, Coda Duarte, Kaylee Florez and Jaxson Duarte; and his mother-in-law Momma Chela. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
