He is survived by: his wife Rosemary Valdez; his children, Denise Valdez of Carlsbad, Melissa Cabezuela of Carlsbad, Gilbert Romero of Hobbs, NM, Isaac Valdez of Albuquerque, NM and Joshua Valdez, Sr. of Carlsbad; and his siblings, Stella Sanchez of Farmington, NM, Anita Duarte of Carlsbad, Victor Valdez of Carlsbad and Guadalupe Valdez of Las Cruces, NM. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
