It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dominga Ramirez Martinez of Carlsbad, New Mexico, who passed away on February 21, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Lorenzo B. Martinez; her children, Alicia M. Madrid, Magdalena Martinez, Frankie and Daniel Martinez; her grandsons, Gabriel Anthony Madrid, Javier Rorris and Lionel Juare; her parents, Juan Ramirez and Simona Ramirez; and her siblings, Cecilio Ramirez, Martina Lara, Soledad Nabhan, Julian Ramirez, Epifania Hernandez, Santiago Ramirez, Alfredo Hinojos, Silvestra Carrasco (La Prieta), Ramon Ramirez and Francisco Sanchez.
She is survived by: her children, Eddie R. Martinez of Lubbock, TX, Teresa Lopez (Alvino) of Carlsbad and Jorge Martinez of Carlsbad; her sister Petronila Cortez of Lubbock, TX; her grandchildren, Michael J. Madrid of Houston, TX, Joe Luis Martinez of Las Cruces, Stephen Ray Madrid of Carlsbad, Ryan Echavarria (Kari) of Carlsbad, Ashley Echavarria of Las Cruces and Mariah Martinez of Lubbock, TX; and her great grandchildren, Alyssa Martinez of Albuquerque, Trent Echavarria of Carlsbad, Ryan Echavarria Jr. of Carlsbad and Isaac Griffin of Florissant, CO. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
