With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dolores Hester (Carlsbad, New Mexico), who passed away on April 18, 2025 at the age of 98. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Henry and Mayme Ester Harris (Douglas); her husband Ray L. Hester; and her siblings, Norman, Stanley, Weldon Harris and Nelda Harris.
She is survived by: her children, Danny Hester (Ginny), Rick Hester (Kandus) and Sherra Hester; her grandchildren, Hathaway Hester, Micaela Hester, Jarrad Hester (Fabiola), Trent Hester and Lee Kortsch (Sonja); and her great grandchildren, Olivia Hester, Malcom Hester, Colbie Kortsch and Tyler Kortsch. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Denton-Wood Funeral Home (1001 N Canal St, Carlsbad, NM 88220). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel (1001 N Canal St, Carlsbad, NM 88220).
