It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Lee Peterson of Carlsbad, New Mexico, born in Las Cruces, New Mexico, who passed away on August 25, 2022, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mack D. Peterson and Barthold J. Peterson (Head); and his siblings, Daniel Peterson, Robert Peterson, Jerry Peterson, Donald "Ned" Peterson and Tommy Peterson.
He is survived by: his wife Norma Peterson of Carlsbad, NM; his children, Larry M. Peterson of Colorado Springs, CO and Gay Lynn Heaney (Richard Gauthier); and his siblings, Larry D. Peterson (Linda) of Carlsbad, NM and Cheryl Lynn Ricketts (Fred) of Albuquerque, NM. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren.
