He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Clyde "Beck" and Ovella Cox (Hughes); and his siblings, Colleen Langlitz, Cecil and Clifford Cox.
He is survived by: his wife Teresa Cox; his children, Sheri (Cox-Kovacs), Charlie Jeffcoat of Clovis, NM, Tammy (Wells), Tyson Frintz, Raymond and Joana Wells (Vernon) of Carlsbad, NM; his grandchildren, Morgan (Jeffcoat), Denny Pilgrim, Rylend and Kallen Jeffcoat of Clovis, NM; his children, Joslyn, Logan Frintz, Anabelle and Trayton Wells of Carlsbad, NM; and his sisters-in-law, Lucy Cox of Blackfoot, ID and MaryAnn Cox of Pittsfield, MA. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In gratitude for his gift of time, Curtis donated his body to UTSW in the hope of advancing organ donation science so that others may benefit from additional time as he did.
