He was predeceased by: his parents, George S. Mendoza and Dominga P. Mendoza; his daughter Brenda M. Garcia; and his siblings, Joe Mendoza and Amelia Zamora.
He is survived by: his wife Angelina Fernandez (Angie); his children, Bernice M. Chavez (Jeff Drinovsky) of Carlsbad, NM, Benjie Mendoza (Anna) of Gallup, NM, Barry Mendoza (Barbara) of Carlsbad, NM. and Brian Mendoza (Yvette) of Carlsbad, NM.; his grandchildren, Benny Ray, Christa, Randy, Benjamin, Brandon, Brandy and Briette; his great grandchildren, Santiago, Rafael and Brodie; and his sisters-in-law, Dora Mendoza, Helen Salinas, Lorina Gomez (Johnny), Roseanne Fernandez and Christie Hoff.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the gathering for family and friends will be held at a later date.
