We bid farewell to Alma Janice Meeker of Carlsbad, New Mexico, born in Alamogordo, New Mexico, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 10, 2024 at the age of 75. Alma Janice touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Kirby Lester Weems and Elsie Janice Weems (Patton); her husband Glen Meeker; her children, Angel Ann Meeker and Eric Meeker; and her brother Carl "Frank" Weems.
She is survived by: her children, Paula Janice and Glen "David" Meeker, Jr. of Carlsbad; her sisters, Wanda Cogburn of Carlsbad and Mildred Jackson of Rochester, NY; her grandchildren, Koda, Matthew, Preston, Brandon, Randy Meeker, Peter Allen Coles, Steven, Sean Cruz, Silas and Trinity Ackman; her great grandchild Aria Coles; her siblings-in-law, Jewel Weems of Loving, NM and John Meeker of Carlsbad; and also Kimberly Lacey of Carlsbad. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A burial was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at 3:30 PM at the Carlsbad Cemetery.
