He was predeceased by: his daughter Lynn Ellen; and his wife Patricia E. Branson Hughes. He is survived by: his parents, John D. Hughes and Amanda Royer Hughes; his daughter Pati M. Cillessen (Edwin F. Cillessen); his grandchildren, Edwin Duane (Erin) and Dale Evan (Ashlee); his daughter Chandra E. Ankeny (Michael C. Ankeny); his close friend Barbara Brusuelas; and also, Caleb Cillessen, Dean and Claire Cillessen. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
