He was predeceased by: his daughter Kelly Colton; his grandson Corey Colton; his siblings, Billy, Lewis Benjamin and Louise Hale; and his parents, Buster Benjamin and Babe Benjamin.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Sue Benjamin of Belen; his son Colonel Brian Benjamin (Kerri); his grandchildren, Justin, Lacey and Captain Jody Colton; and his sisters, Gladys Dillard and Kathy Gardner. He is also survived by five children; three sons-in-law and two grandchildren.
