She was predeceased by: her mother Irene J. Shorty; and her brothers, Ray S. Shorty and Samuel Shorty. She is survived by: her husband Joseph McConnell; her children, Aaron and Alexis (Nathaniel); her grandchildren, Brex and RyLee; her father Sonny Shorty Sr.; her siblings, Priscilla, Brenda (Bruce), Josephine and Sonny Jr.; and her nieces and nephews, Ashley, Victoria (Joe), Natrielle, MacKenzie, Stephan (Kiana), Sonny III, Matthew (Tiffany), Christopher (Leilana) and Jeb.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Sagebrush Church (1501 Sunrise Pkwy, Farmington, NM 87401). A burial was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Memory Gardens Cemetery (6917 E Main St, Farmington, NM 87402).
