It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sofie Gurule (Bloomfield, New Mexico), born in Gallina, New Mexico, who passed away on May 10, 2020, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Emilio Martinez and Teodora Martinez; and her siblings, Emilio Martinez (Belle), Clora Martinez and Rebecca Perea.
She is survived by: her husband Carlos Gurule; her children, Joey Gurule and Dorene Miller (Dwayne); her grandchildren, Kenneth Bohannon, Alexis Fierro (Nicholas), Tyrell Miller, Ashley Miller and Kyle Miller; her great grandchildren, MiaBella, Nicholas Jr. and Vivienne Fierro; and her siblings, Isaias Martinez (Jean), Tomas Martinez (Miei), Trudy Duran, Norma Herrera (Art), Corrine Russo (Joey), Jake Martinez (Naidene) and Rick Martinez (JoAnne). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
