He was predeceased by: his wife Regina Herrera Valdez; and his children, Gilbert, Andrew Valdez and Reina Valdez. He is survived by: his children, Lucille Sanchez, Vivian, Theresa Valdez, Dolores, John Martinez, Joe, Christine Valdez, Libby Valdez, Mike Valdez, Sandy, Marvin Valdez, Randy Valdez, Cecilia, Regina Valdez and Gene; and his sisters, Eloisa Perez and Virginia Lovato. He is also survived by twenty grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; 13 great great grandchildren.
