He was predeceased by: his wife Lydia C. Olguin; his parents, Jose Andres and Lorencita Uritaga Olguin; and his siblings, Albert, Claudio, Jose Jr. and Lucinda.
He is survived by: his children, Darlene Smith, Geraldine Trujillo and Porfirio Olguin Jr.; and his sisters, Francis Lozoya (Antonio), Susie Gonzalez, Odelia Otero (Daniel) and JoAnn Martinez (Michael). He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and cousins.
A burial was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens (101 N 10th St, Belen, NM 87002).
