She was predeceased by: her parents, Justo Mascarena and Josefita Padilla Mascarena; her siblings, Arturo, Trinnie Mascarena, Gertude Gallegos and Nancy Baca; her in-laws, Alfredo and Maria Torrez; and her siblings-in-law, Delfin Torrez, Tony Trujillo, Lawrence Gallegos, Hernandez Torrez, Felix Baca, Ramon Baca, Anna Torrez and Sophie Trujillo.
She is survived by: her husband David Torrez; her daughter JoAnn Sanchez (Randy); her grandson Dominic Sanchez; her siblings, Tino (Betty), Boni (Lucy), Leroy (Sylvia), Joseph Mascarena, Ramona Torres and Kathy Cordova (Art); and her siblings-in-law, Rosendo (Agnus), Ralph Torrez (Janette), Benny Torrez, Jennie Mascarena and Helen Torrez. She is also survived by nieces and nephews; and many friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church (101 N 10th St, Belen, NM 87002). A rosary was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens (101 N 10th St, Belen, NM 87002).
