With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George O. Chavez of Belen, New Mexico, who passed away on June 4, 2022 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fermin Chavez and Maria Chavez (Gabaldon); his siblings, Emilio (Milo), Salomon Chavez and Sofie Padilla; his son Matthew Chavez; and his grandson Tony Tucker.
He is survived by: the mother of his children Norma Cissell; his wife Carmen Chavez; his children, Derrick (Monica), Kimberly Gibbons, Douglas (Sandra), Brian (Luzinda) and Sandra Moya; and his daughter-in-law Erin Chavez. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
