He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Eugenio Marquez and Jenny Marquez; his sister Eleanor Marquez (Norita); his in-laws, Manuel and Veronica Martinez; his brothers-in-law, Louie Baca and Skip Burgett; his nephews, Danny Marquez, Frankie Marquez and John Armijo; his grandparents, Antonio, Eleanora Marquez, Francisco and Josefita Marez; his wife Martha; his sons, Gabriel (Liz) and Adam (Rita); his grandchildren, Samantha Martin Allyson (Kevin), Joshua Marquez, Daniel Chavira (Danielle), Raquel Gallegos (Gabe Regalado) and Tessa Marquez; his great grandchildren, Danae, Danika Chavira, Cierra and Christopher Gallegos; his siblings, Frank Marquez (Dolores), Rosalie Burgett, Gloria Kelly (Ed), Josie Gallucci (Pasquale) and Mary Belinda Martinez (Chris); and his in-laws, Patty Baca, Bernice Gallegos (Gerald) and Amy Arellano (Ed).
1942-2023 Gene Marquez, age 81, a resident of Belen, NM, was welcomed in to the arms of our Lord at his home November 2, 2023, surrounded by his family after a long, courageous battle with Parkinson's disease.
