He was predeceased by: his father William "Bill" Keys; his stepfather Dr. R. E. Brubaker; his brother Bobby Keys; and his nephew Kevin Kaneshiro. He is survived by: his daughters, Jacqueline Keys Jones (Frank) and Valerie Lynch (James); his siblings, Daryl Keys (Lisa) and Debby Kanesherio (Herman); and his grandchildren, Matthew Keys, Cassandra Keys and Dominick Keys Jones. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
