Lydia Leyba Castillo Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lydia Leyba Castillo of Bayard, New Mexico, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 27, 2025 at the age of 80. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Lydia Leyba Castillo to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her son Nicolas Castillo III; her husband Nicolas L. Castillo Jr.; her parents, Cirilo Leyba and Leonor Leyba; and her siblings, Soila Ochoa, Manuel R. Leyba, Zaqueo R. Leyba and Dorcas Cordova.
She is survived by: her children, Mark Anthony Castillo (Sandra), Maria Martina Sublasky, Israel Cirilo Castillo (Anna Liza) and Joshua Daniel Castillo; her grandchildren, Mark Jr. (Amanda), Jessica, Josiah (Victoria), Corina, Jennifer (James), Nicolas, Zeta and Savion; her great grandchildren, Ava, Mark III, Adriel, Gideon and James Jr.; and her siblings, Alex R. Leyba and Ruth L. Vigil. She is also survived by numerous brothers- and sisters-in-law, along with a vast circle of friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM. A memorial service was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 7:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM and at 11:30 AM at the Memorial Lane Cemetery.
