He was predeceased by: his parents, Sisto Chavez and Susana Florez; his wife Rita Rodriguez Chavez; his siblings, Santiago Calderon, Paula Cruz, Angie Chavez and Amparo Sanchez; his sons, Fred Florez and Luis Florez; his children-in-law, Carlos Molinar and Mickey Florez; and his grandsons, Harold Molinar, Danny Ramirez and Tim Ramirez.
He is survived by: his daughters, Margaret Molinar of Georgia, Gloria Ramirez (Billy) of Albuquerque, Juanita Hernandez (Pete) of Artesia and Marina Mahan of Roswell, NM.; his nephews, Raymond Cruz and Benny Cruz; and his grandchildren, Rudy Florez, Dean Molinar, Dicky Ramirez, Gabriel Florez, Lanny Mahan and Athena Valdez.
