It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gonzalo Campos Perez of Artesia, New Mexico, born in Marfa, Texas, who passed away on January 6, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Eliborio Perez and Paula Campos Perez; his wife Erlinda Luevano; and his sons, Jose Alfredo Perez and Fernando Perez.
He is survived by: his children, Israel Perez, Luis Perez (Nora), Albert Perez, Corrina P. Torres (Joe) and Margaret Lee (Paul); his grandchildren, Agapito Araujo Jr., Michael Araujo Jr. (Christi), Yvonne Perez, Crystal Baca, Serrina Gonzalez (Abraham), Israel Perez Jr., Denise Ordonez (Lucio), Luis Perez Jr. (Sarah), Eve Shetterly (Brian), Renwick Jacket (Ashleigh) and Emily Fisk Herrell (David); his great grandchildren, Dieon Molina, Ayanna Silas, Agapito Araujo III, Michael Araujo Jr. (Adysyn), Mia Aruajo Barnett (Michael David), Alyssa Araujo, Abraham Gonzalez III, Natalia Gonzalez, Isabela Gonzalez, Santana Baca, Caesar Baca, Nehemiah Baca, Apalonia Baca, Riley Shetterly, Marlie Shetterly, Teak Shetterly, Daniel Jacket, Eddy Fernandez, Daniel Fernandez, Sara Sanchez, Miranda Perez, Brooklyn Perez, Isabel Perez, Luis Perez III, D. J. Herrel, Jesse Herrel and Joe Herrel; and his great great grandchildren, Landyn Michael Araujo, Liam Araujo and Leilani Fernandez. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
