He was predeceased by: his parents, Reynaldo Rivera and Elodia Alvarado Rivera; and his siblings, Leo Rivera, Jessie Rivera, Ramon Rivera, Viola Natividad, Rosemary Karr, Raymond and Ramona Rivera.
He is survived by: his wife Lupe Rivera; his sons, Fred Rivera Jr. (Gracie), Tony Rivera (Dorothy) and Adrian Rivera (Amanda Tarin); his siblings, Dr. Manuel Rivera, Joe Rivera, Albert Rivera, Julian Rivera, Martin Rivera, Antonia Gutierrez, Betty Hernandez, Linda Molina and Lucy Gomez; and his grandchildren, Robert Sarellano, Anthony Rivera, Reuben Rivera, Angelo Rivera, Matthew Rivera, Jevon Rivera, Isaiah Rivera, Isaiah Escobedo, Ethan Rivera and Ivan Rivera. He is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren.
