He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruben Guzman and Maria; and his siblings, Modesta Guzman, Antonio, Asuncion and Guadalupe Guzman.
He is survived by: his wife Ana Maria Guzman; his children, Emilio Guzman Jr., Rey David Guzman, Anabel Guzman, Maria Guadalupe Renteria and Cruz Elvia Carrasco; and his siblings, Octavio Guzman, Isidro Guzman, Luisa Guzman and Estreberta Guzman. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
