With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Douglas MacArthur Apperson of Artesia, New Mexico, born in Risco, Missouri, who passed away on May 14, 2022 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Beverly Apperson and Mary Ellen Graves Apperson; and his brother Billy Ray Apperson. He is survived by: his sons, Douglas Mac Apperson of Artesia and Ricky Apperson (Christy) of Artesia; his grandsons, Shawn Apperson of Artesia and Dale Apperson of Artesia; his sisters, Barbara Reid of Hobbs, NM and Imogene Hunt of Carlsbad, NM; and his brothers-in-law, Bill Mathews (Marva) of Mayhill, NM and Chester Harlow (Jan) of Artesia. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
